Karen-You move almost as often as I do except we don't actually have to do any moving. Hehe!! I vowed that I wouldn't move again for a couple of years becasue the place we have now is perfect for us. We'll see what happens next year when our contract is up. If the economy is the same, they can't very well raise the price so we'll just stay.

We had a nice weekend. I'm taking a pottery class so I went there Friday night and Saturday. I slept most of the day Sunday, went grocery shopping and did some house cleaning. That was pretty much it.

I don't have any classes this month which is nice. I can finally get caught up on my work and grading. I'm soooo far behind!! And, I just got a call from the president's secretary telling me that he has a letter for me to write for him.... It's 8:01 Monday morning- my brain isn't ready for this....:(

Well, gotta run I guess. I'll write more later!!

Welcome back sister

Welcome back Kim. I was wondering where you had been. I checked every other day but figured you must be busy with work and I guess I was right....lol... Yes I am moving into St. Stephen. I found a place on Watson street. It's the entire 2nd floor and rent is almost $100 cheaper and the place is twice the size of what I have now. My bathroom there is about my room and Jordan's combined. It will hold the washer and dryer as well. The new address will be:
4 Watson Street, St. Stephen, N.B. E3L 1Y5.
I am taking before and after pics to show you what it looks like. And no, I am still going to Michigan. :Come hell or high water I'll be there. I booked the time off and I need a vacation badly! I can't wait for it to come.
My passports should be here next week. I'm glad Chai is coming too. It wouldn't have been the same without him there. What about his courses he's taking? How is he making out with those? I hope Yuna does well on her tests and I hope that talk with her went well. I hope Somi gets better too.
Jordan has a play presentation next week on Thursday night. He's got a good part in it so I'll take pics. Tim's camera might be able to do a video so if he can, we'll do that too. His graduation is on the 19th. His dad is looking for a new bike for him this week so he can bring it down with him next week. He really likes the new place and will be able to walk to school in the fall or to the store down the hill. He's going bowling tonight.
Anyways.... all is pretty much ok here for the moment. Busy with packing, working, Jordan, and trying not to get sick. HOpe to see you soon!!!
Love you guys!

I'm back again!! I see that I'm not the only person who doesn't blog anymore.

So, Karen you're moving? When? Where to? Will this affect your trip to Michael's next month?

I know I've been out of touch but I'm back to normal now. It was just a crazy month. Well, not going to write much because it doesn't look like many people visit here. Talk to you soon!

It's been a while!!

Okay I'm back!! I know it's been a long time and I don't have a really good excuse except I was crazy busy with work. Things should be better because I finished my children's class last night. Here are some pictures!!!

Some of my kids!!

Us taking a tour of the pilot's building.

Us checking out the mock-up.
A project I did with the kids. I sent home a small square patch and had every family decorate it. Then I explained the history of quilts and I made an Asiana Family Quilt. We had a contest at the final ceremony and the best quilt patch won a prize.

This was us at the airport learning about airplanes. Did you know that one tire weighs 80 kgs... Ha..

This is the kids playing twister. It was the first time for most of them....

This is us again!! They were divided into teams. The team with the most stickers at the end of the month would get a prize. It worked like a charm!!

Well, that's pretty much it. Now it's done and the children were adorable. They flowered me with gifts at the end which was nice. I got a little teary when I was giving my farewell speech but I managed to get through it.
So that's been my life this past month. This is the biggest project we've ever done here and of course it's my project. It wasn't until a few months ago that I learned 58% of the education our department is offering this year is mine. We just don't have the budget to put people up in hotels etc, and I'm free so they work me to my death. Actually, it wasn't that bad. I really enjoyed the change and I loved teaching the children. .... But, I can't tell them that!!
Things at home are ok. Somi has been sick with a serious ear infection. One of them is peeing all over the house and I can't figure out why. I think it has something to do with grandfather. Yuna is studying hard for her test in November. We had a long talk a few weeks ago about her life and she's a very confused girl. I think she has hope now but it doesn't look promising. We'll have to see what the future brings.
Chai's doing well. He went to the embassy yesterday to apply for his new passport. So, he's ready to come!!! I was surprised because I didn't think he would do it. I guess all of that (&^*(_*(&^ paid off.
Chai's dad is well. He's taken over my house and I'm going to have to start from scratch again. I was doing well until I started this class and then just didn't have time to care. That'll be my mission next month!!
As for me, well, you can see in the pictures that I've gained weight. It's an endless battle.
I guess I should go and get some work done now. It's 9:15 and I've managed to do nothing for almost 2 hours now.. haha.. talk to you soon.

The kids playing twister and my classroom!

The is me and the whole group!!
