Congrats Chai!

What is a CPA? is it computer program assistant? Good luck Chai with all the extra work. It will be tough but you'll do great! Things here are pretty dull. Jordan is at his dad's, I have a friend's birthday party to go to and putting my scrapbook stuff together so I can finish an album I've been working on. I'll write more tomorrow and hopefully get some new pics up soon!

Today was a big day!! Chai has decided to become a CPA. So, we went downtown to a school near city hall and he registered for a two year program. It was pricy but a good investment. Wish him well because he's going to need it. It will require 38 hours of studying a week on top of work. It's going to be a hard two years ahead of us but the end result will be good. If he gets certified, we can move to North America!! Yeah.. Mom & dad I'm sure you like that news.

Well, that's it. Today's Chai's day. I'm going to go now and start my house cleaning. I haven't done any for weeks and I'm really behind. I don't know where to start. ...

Oh yeah.. It's +10 degrees here.. Haha!!

Even though this is only a 3 day work week it feels like a long week. Hmmm.... I go to the oriental doctor again tomorrow and he'll hopefully have a plan of action for me. I splurged over the last week and ate pork, potatoes, etc. Yummyyyy. But I'm sure he'll make me pay for it. It was good while it lasted. ^^

Well, I have a full day of work so I should get started. Somebody please write something soon! I'm beginning to think that I'm the only one who ever visits this site anymore!!

It's a beautiful Thursday (+2) and I'm stuck inside working. Grrr... Anyhow, you might have heard in the news that my company won the best airline of the year award. Yeah! I was here until 10 pm last night rewriting the press release for the Korean newspapers. I'm going to have to start charging more money!!

Well, that's my news for today. I have a busy afternoon of planning and work to do. Take care all and don't freeze to death.. Hehe..

Anyhow, it was Lunar New Year here last weekend so we went down to Chai's hometown. A 5 hour drive took us 8 hours there and 10 hours back. Here are some pictures..

This is us preparing "sanjok" which is a traditional Lunar New year food. It's strips of carrot, pork, green onion, crab meat dipped in flour and egg.

Where is everyone? I guess everyone is busy because no one is visiting the blog. Anyhow, I'm good. I'm trying to get through the week with the kids here. I might just have to kill someone soon!!! They're sooooo loud!! They go to bed around 2 or 3 am and then get up around noon. It's a great life they have. I just can't be bothered to try and keep my house clean or sleep. So, now I'm going to finish a book I started yesterday. I guess that's one good thing about them being here. We made pizza tonight which was fun. That kept them busy for about an hour.

Hi everyone! It's a beautiful Tuesday here. It's sunny and almost spring-like weather here. I heard it's supposed to get cold as the week goes on so I'm trying to enjoy it now. How's everyone in North America? I'm busy trying to keep the peace at home. Yuna's sisters are visiting and it's a very busy house. Lunar New Year is coming (this weekend) so they only have a few more days here before they go home. We'll drive down to Chai's hometown on Friday and take the girls with us. That will be an interesting drive - three kids, two dogs, a husband who doesn't like to drive and a lot of noise. ^^ Haha. It won't be so bad. Anyhow, I should go. It's time to work. So Glad Friday is Over!!!

Well yesterday was one of those "I should have stayed in bed" days. Anything that could go wrong went wrong from the time my feet hit the floor in the morning till I went to bed. My car wouldn't start cause it was so cold the night before, the cold water in the kitchen faucet wouldn't work, messed up at work, almost hit another car going home because of black ice, left apples in the car that froze and cant' be used, etc etc. It was a horrible day! HOpefully another day like that won't be around for a while.
Love the pics you are putting up Kim. Some pretty good pics of dad there. He looked like he was having a great time! I finally got Jordan's school pics and will be sending them to you.

Jordan is at his dad's for the weekend so my place is quite quiet right now. Am just waiting to pick dad up from darts. Ahhh..peace and quiet. Very unusual in my house.. I'll try to get some more pics up soon.

Well, another day and here I am writing to myself again. Hmmm. I'm going to change this to "Kimberley's Ties"... Where is everyone?

We got a few centimeters of snow this morning and it was great fun to drive in. People couldn't get up hills and were sliding all over the place. PEOPLE!! IT'S LITTLE BIT OF SNOW!! Anyhow, it' s melted now but there's a lot of black ice.

I bought a new jacket today which was a nice treat. I met Nicole and we had a nice Greek dinner and shopped around downtown. We had a great day.

Where is everyone? I feel like I'm writing to myself. Oh well. It's 10:00 am here and the house is silent. Yuna's sisters are coming today for who knows how long so I'm enjoying the peace and quiet while I can. Little do they know that they won't be watching TV and playing games the whole time they're here. I teachYuna English for two hours every night so I prepared things for them to do too. Ha. They aren't going to want to come back by the time I finish with them. ^^ Just joking. It's fun stuff that they should already know but I want to make sure they understand how important it is to study hard. I'm pushing Yuna really hard this year and I'll be happy if it works and if not, well you can't say I tried.

So, today's Wednesday. The week is flying by. Yuna's sisters are coming tomorrow for a week or so. Chai's sister isn't well so she's not going to come up. I guess we'll go down at the end of the month. The 26th is Lunar New Year here so it's a 4 day weekend. It's the only long weekend this year... :( It's nice though because we get to visit all of Chai's family whom I like very much. They really make me feel like family.

Well, it's time to work now. One of my new years resolutions is to be more productive especially at work. It's going well so far so don't want to jinx it. Take care everyone and write soon!

Good morning everyone..(well, it's morning here!!)

Anyhow, it's the start of another week. I went to my oriental doctor last Saturday and I lost another 6 pounds by just not eating any salt. Chai didn't do so well but he quit smoking New Years day so I think that's enough for right now. I'd rather him eat a little salt than smoke a few cigarettes. I'm on my own this week because they have to changed the herbs in my medicine. My liver is producing an abnormal (nothing to worry about) amount of enzymes which could be caused by stress, lack of sleep, etc. So, he gave me a week off which is nice but I can feel the difference. The herbs really do suppress your appetitite.

Yuna's sisters are coming up on Thursday. Chai's dad and sister are supposed to come too but she's not well. They're going to stay and we'll go down next month for a couple of days and visit.

Hello today is tuesday and we just got back fro the outdoor narket. Again john got an education. different things different fish, veg, he saw some Mangoes. He has had a time of his life. Yoona is putting the movie on mama mia on for us to watch. John has ot seeit but I have. Got to a dollarama today an alot of nice things different than home. I can look at it back home and say I got that in KOrea. John likes to take Nome home with him. I feel a little better today. JUst a head cold and sinus and now a cold sore to deal with. Well I have to run and watch this as I saw it before but I could watch is several times. and guess what else ya Karen kniting. Yes I'm Still Alive and can Type

Mother... I can still type and am still alive. It's just finally calming down a bit from the holidays. Between cleaning that up and trying to tackle the spare room and find room for everything, it has been a job that isn't finished yet.
Jordan started school today and I start tutoring again this week. I work tonight so this message will be short.
Kim- I will take a pic with me of the jacket. I have been wearing it alot lately as has Jordan in his orange jacket. I didn't realize my jacket can also become a vest. Nice choice!!
Hope the new boss goes well. As for mom knitting her way through Korea, she would knit her way through most countries...lol. Glad everyone is having fun.

I'm back to work today and it's a shock to the system. I have a new manager and I'm not sure what to make of him yet but I'll know this afternoon. He asked me to present my education plan for 2009. I'm sure he'll have lots of comments. :)

Mom and dad are off with a friend of mine today. He took them to the DMZ and heaven knows where else. I'm sure mom won't be interested in it but she'll do fine. She can knit her way into North Korea!! Hehe...
